We cater to both B2B (restaurants, hotels, pharmacies, and retailers) and B2C (direct-to-consumer e-commerce and boutique sales). Our brand is deeply rooted in sustainability, science, and the art of fungi, blending cutting-edge research with culinary excellence.

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager who is highly strategic and creative, with expertise in both food and supplement marketing. This role will drive awareness, engagement, and sales across multiple channels while ensuring a strong brand presence in both the B2B and B2C spaces.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for both B2B and B2C, tailored to foodservice, retail, and e-commerce.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms, aligning messaging with Fungi Swiss's vision of quality, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to refine positioning and identify opportunities for differentiation.

2. B2B Marketing (Food & Supplements)

  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns for restaurants, hotels, pharmacies, and retailers to increase wholesale and distributor partnerships.
  • Create sales materials, brochures, and digital assets for F&B professionals and supplement retailers.
  • Organize and participate in industry trade shows, networking events, and tastings to build relationships and showcase our products.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide marketing support that helps convert leads into business partnerships.

3. B2C Marketing (Direct-to-Consumer Growth)

  • Develop and manage performance-driven marketing campaigns across digital (social media, SEO, PPC, email marketing) and offline channels.
  • Oversee the brand’s content strategy, ensuring high-quality, engaging storytelling that educates and inspires consumers about the benefits of functional mushrooms.
  • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and influencers to drive product awareness and engagement.
  • Implement loyalty programs, referral incentives, and other CRM initiatives to improve customer retention.

4. Communications & PR

  • Develop a strong earned media strategy, securing features in relevant food, wellness, and business publications.
  • Manage press releases, media relations, and industry partnerships to enhance brand reputation.
  • Oversee social media management, ensuring Fungi Swiss is positioned as a thought leader in the functional foods and supplements space.

5. Digital & E-Commerce Growth

  • Optimize the Fungi Swiss website for conversion, working with the tech team to improve UX, SEO, and product positioning.
  • Develop and execute a content marketing plan, including blogs, newsletters, and social campaigns that educate customers and drive traffic.
  • Analyze marketing KPIs, including engagement, conversion rates, and ROAS, to refine strategies and maximize performance.

6. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with the product development team to support the launch of new products with go-to-market strategies.
  • Align with the sales team to ensure marketing efforts translate into commercial success.
  • Collaborate with scientists and mycologists to translate research findings into accessible consumer education materials.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, or communications within the food, supplement, or wellness industry.
  • Strong understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing strategies, especially within foodservice and retail environments.
  • Proven track record of executing successful brand awareness and performance marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with wholesale clients, distributors, and retail partners in the food or supplement sector.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO, paid advertising (Meta, Google Ads), and email marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in PR, media outreach, and brand storytelling.
  • Ability to analyze data and KPIs to refine marketing efforts and improve performance.
  • Passion for sustainability, functional foods, and innovative product development.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Experience working with startups or growing brands in the food or supplement space.
  • A network within the hospitality, retail, or wellness industry.
  • Fluency in French and English (German is a plus).
